CJFL DEFENSIVE ALL-CANADIANS

The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) is proud to announce the Defensive Jostens/CFL All-Canadians for the 2015 season.

The PFC have seven players each named as Defensive All-Canadians to lead the CJFL.

In total there are 13 Defensive All-Canadians plus one Return Specialist.

Defensive Line
Blake Adams – Saskatoon Hilltops – 10 tackles, 12 assists, 2 sacks
Jonas Gering – Okanagan Sun – 16 tackles, 3 assists, 13 sacks, 4 knockdowns, 2 fumble recoveries
Brock Gowanlock – Langley Rams – 17 tackles, 5 assists, 14.5 sacks*, 1 knockdown, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown
Matt Kozun – Saskatoon Hilltops (second consecutive year) – 9 tackles, 5 assists, 2.5 sacks, 2 knockdowns, 1 forced fumble

Linebackers
Cole Benkic – Saskatoon Hilltops – 19 tackles, 13 assists, 0.5 sacks, 3 knockdowns, 2 fumble recoveries, three interceptions, one for a touchdown
Jakub Jakoubek – Calgary Colts (second consecutive year) – 31 tackles, 23 assists*, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble
Dexter Shea – Vancouver Island Raiders – 42 tackles, 9 assists, 2 sacks, 3 knockdowns, 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries

Defensive Backs
Cord Delinte – Okanagan Sun – 34 tackles, 3 assists, 5 knockdowns, 1 interception
Menedum Menegbo – Regina Thunder – 11 tackles, 3 assists, 4 knockdowns, 2 interceptions
Tony Savchuck – Edmonton Wildcats – 29 tackles, 4 assists, 1 sack, 2 knockdowns, 1 forced fumble, 5 interceptions
Brennan Van Nistelrooy – Okanagan Sun (second consecutive year) – 19 tackles, 4 assists, 2 blocked kicks, 2 knockdowns, 1 fumble recovery, 6 interceptions
Cole Virtanen – Vancouver Island Raiders – 31 tackles, 8 assists, 6 knockdowns, 1 fumble recovery, 5 interceptions including 1 for a touchdown

Punter
Brad Mikoluff – Winnipeg Rifles (second consecutive year) – 68 punts*, 2,473 net yards, 36.37 net average

Return Specialist
Chad Braun – Saskatoon Hilltops – 28 punt returns for 320 yards, averaging 11.4 yards a return

*led the CJFL

The CJFL Major Award winners will be announced on Friday November 6, 2015 during the Canadian Bowl Banquet of Champions.
