Garnet has worked within the Sports and Fitness Industry for 20 years. Originally from Edmonton and a University of Alberta grad, he has worked with various organizations such as the Edmonton YMCA, Edmonton Catholic Schools, Keyano College and currently with the City of Edmonton as a Facility Manager with Recreation Facilities.
As a Sports Conditioning professional Garnet has worked alongside former NHL and international coaches with the Belarus Mens National Ice Hockey Team, H.C. Dinamo Minsk competing in the Kontinental Hockey League, and with the Ukraine Mens National Ice Hockey Team. He has worked with many Edmonton area athletes to help them reach their competitive goals.
Garnet has been heavily involved as a volunteer and coach in local Edmonton sport. Garnet has coached Junior Football with St. Francis Xavier High School, an on ice coach with the Edmonton Impact Sled Hockey Club, operated a para -swim program and currently sits on the board as VP/Director of Programs with Confederation Park Little League Baseball Club.
Garnet is a big fan of our Edmonton Eskimos and supporter of the CFL. He enjoys travelling as he follows the Toronto Blue Jays to iconic stadiums in Major League Baseball. He can often be found working out….. still trying to keep up to his athletes.
