CJFL Past Commissioners Award

Tuesday November 3, 2015

The Canadian Junior Football League would like to congratulate the 2015 Past Commissioner’s Award winner Brandon Quach of the Edmonton Wildcats for his community involvement this past year.

Brandon just finished his third season with the Wildcats, and has been a strong asset to the team, both on and off the field. Brandon is a starting receiver and a strong leader in the locker room.  He is always the first to offer a helping hand, provide some words of encouragement to his peers and help smooth out any conflict between teammates.

Brandon has also been one of the core contributors to the Wildcats “In The Community Program,” having volunteered at almost every opportunity.  In 2015, he participated in volunteer activities at the Edmonton Food Bank, Hope Mission, Habitat For Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, and Read In Week.  In addition to this, he helped coach at several clinics put on by the Leduc Minor Football Association, as well as the Eskimos Minor Football Camp.

Outside of football, Brandon has recently become certified as an Emergency Medial Responder.  He volunteers serving meals at the Hope Mission, and is in the process of becoming a volunteer on the Hope Mission 24/7 rescue van.

Brandon’s community involvement through both the Wildcats as well as the in his own personal life combined with his dedication to the team and his teammates have made him invaluable to the CJFL and epitomizes a junior football player in Canada.

The CJFL will honour Brandon and is contributions on Friday night at the Jostens Banquet of Champions in Saskatoon.

The CJFL will announce the 2015 Offensive All-Canadians on Wednesday, followed by the Defensive All-Canadians on Thursday.

The 2015 Canadian Bowl is will be played in Saskatoon on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm local time as the Hilltops welcome the Okanagan Sun
