Executive Update Following Our Annual General Meeting
We held our Annual General Meeting last night and are grateful for the time, care, and commitment shown by our outgoing and incoming executive members. As we look ahead to the coming year, we are pleased to share the following updates to our Executive Committee:
- Thank you to Brad Gatschene for his leadership and service as President. We are pleased that Brad will continue to support the club by moving into the Past President role.
- Welcome Jean‑Luc Bugeaud as our new President. We are excited for his leadership and vision as he steps into this role.
- Welcome Tristan Jones as Vice President. We look forward to his energy and contributions to the executive team.
- Jason Dailey will be moving back into the Treasurer position, bringing valuable continuity and experience.
- The Secretary position remains vacant at this time.
- A sincere thank you to John Wojcicki for his time and service as Past President. We are grateful for his dedication and impact on the club.
We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our Board of Directors for their ongoing time, dedication, and commitment to the Edmonton Wildcat Football Club.
We appreciate everyone who continues to serve and support the organization, and we look forward to another strong year ahead.
Incoming Executive Bios
Jean‑Luc — President
Born and raised in the Edmonton area, Jean-Luc has spent the past nine years working in commercial banking with BDC and CIBC. Prior to beginning his professional career, he played cornerback and safety for the Edmonton Wildcats during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
A Wildcats board member since 2024, Jean-Luc is excited to step into the role of President and continue serving an organization that has played an important role in his life. He is passionate about the continued growth and development of the Wildcats football program. Go Cats.
Tristan Jones — Vice President
Born and raised in the Edmonton area, Tristan Jones brings a balanced perspective shaped by his experience as a player, coach, business professional, and family man. A former Wildcats running back, Tristan played four seasons with the club (2002–03, 2006–07) during one of the most productive eras in team history. His 2006 season stands as one of the most impactful individual years in CJFL history, and he finished his junior career among the league’s all-time rushing leaders.
Tristan continued his football career at the post-secondary level with the University of St. Mary’s and Dickinson State University before returning to the Wildcats as a coach for the 2010 and 2011 seasons, where he focused on player development and fostering a strong team culture.
Outside of football, Tristan is a respected real estate professional and entrepreneur. As Vice President, he is committed to long-term organizational growth, accountability, and meaningful community impact.
