Wildcat Makes World Team of American Football Roster

The Edmonton Wildcats are proud to announce that one of their own, Wide Receiver Jerit Lambert, has been selected to the World Team of American Football Squad. Jerit was selected from a provisional list of 100 International players that were nominated by the IFAF federations. Jerit is a 2009 CJFL & Prairie Football Conference Rookie of the Year as well as being a Prairie Football Conference offensive All-star. He caught 28 passes for 457 yards, scoring 5 touchdowns. Also utilized as a returner for the Prairie Football Conference champions, Jerit returned 10 kick offs for 333 yards and a TD as well as 18 punts for another 217 yards and another TD.

The team will face USA Football’s Junior National Team, comprised of the top high school seniors, at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, January 30th. Team World is currently made up of 43 players from eight countries and four continents.

NFL Network will provide live coverage of the game, which is designated an official Pro Bowl Week event by the NFL, at 12 noon ET January 30th. The game will follow AFC and NFC Pro Bowl practices, which conclude earlier that day, and admission to both events is free
