Wildcats Name New Head Coach

The Edmonton Wildcats are pleased to announce the signing of Kevin (Cash) Wuthrich as the new Head Coach!
Cash played for the Wildcats from 2006-2009. He went straight to the CJFL from the Cats playing as a Receiver for the Edmonton Eskimos from 2009-2011. In 2011, he was released from the Eskimos and went and played CIS football at Saint Mary’s University (SMU).
At the end of his CIS eligibility, Cash stayed at SMU initially as the Receivers Coach and then the Offensive Coordinator. In 2021, Cash returned to his high school Bev Facey where he coached the receivers for a season before joining the Wildcats in 2022 as the Offensive Coordinator.
“We are excited to move forward with Cash. He brings a refreshing youthful excitement about both the organization and the players, which is something to look forward to” – Jason Milne, VP Football Operations
“I am excited to lead. To have the opportunity to work with young adults and help them transition into their adult life… The main focus as I step into the head coach role is uniting the team and bringing them together. Show them that the history and the alumni of the Wildcats matter.” – Kevin Wuthrich, Head Coach
Here. We. Go!

Darcy has been coaching with the Cats for over 20 years and has had an impact on thousands of athletes who have come through the program. Practices at Rundle Park will be open on October 11-13 (7-9pm) for anyone who wants to drop by and thank him in person.

We are actively searching for a Head Coach for the 2023 season. Interested applicants can send your resume to footballops@edmontonwildcats.com before October 23, 2022.
