The Edmonton Eskimos have always been supporters of amateur, junior and university level football in Alberta.
Today the Wildcats received a generous monetary contribution to the club of $250, 000.00. This is possible because of the Eskimos 50/50 program on game nights, and the fans who purchase tickets from our players.
The Wildcats would like to thank Len Rhodes and the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club for their support both on and off the field, and we look forward to a continued relationship with them.
The Edmonton Wildcats are pleased to announce the addition of two new coaches ahead of the 2019 Canadian Junior Football League season.
Ryan Branting, a Wildcat alumnus, former board member and former Receivers coach from 2010 – 2014 will be returning to the Wildcats coaching staff as the Receivers Coach beginning January 2019. Branting has been heavily engaged with the Wildcats and the organization is very excited to have him rejoin our coaching staff.
Blake Dermott, former Offensive Lineman for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League will be joining the Wildcats Offensive Line Coaching staff. Dermott brings extensive knowledge of the offensive game to the team and the Wildcats are looking forward to having him join the organization beginning in January 2019.

The Wildcats would like to extend an invite to ALL ALUMNI for our last 2018 CJFL Regular Season away game against the hometown rivals – Edmonton Huskies.
Kick off is 1pm, at Clarke Stadium and we are encouraging all attendees to wear their best WHITE OUT gear – mittens, hats, toques, sweaters, jackets – whatever you want!
Let’s fill the stands on the East side of the field, and GO CATS GO!
The Wildcats are an organization built on perseverance, determination and resilience. When our Clubhouse was not usable for a week – we rallied. The situation was out of our hands, and the golden phrase “Football is Family” rang true when we needed a home field for the week.
The City of Edmonton and Edmonton Eskimos Football Team blew us away with their generosity of allowing our organization to not only use the field house at such short notice but their visitor dressing facilities, meetings rooms, on field equipment and Commonwealth Field under the evening football lights. The players weren’t the only ones excited about the opportunity, so were the coaches and staff. During warm ups, the coaches would toss the ball around to each other with big grins on their faces, some of them having their first experience coaching in such a large facility. Staff were also enamoured that they were casually out on the field and not a single person was in the stands. The sheer magnitude of the stadium really blew our entire team away. The City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Eskimos truly outdid themselves in ensuring that we could practice uninterrupted, while also giving our players, coaches and staff a taste of the CFL big time.
As an organization and team, the Edmonton Wildcats Football Club would like to extend a grateful Thank You to the City of Edmonton and Edmonton Eskimos Football Club not only for their generosity but also for giving us a temporary home.
