Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

J’Lyn Nye (Host 630 CHED Afternoon News & Coach Nahrebeski’s wife) has asked us if we would be interested in participating in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event, in support of the YWCA to end family violence.

It’s Tuesday, September 23 at Sir Winston Churchill Square. Check in at 11, walk begins at noon.

It is that time of year again! The day in September when men from across this great city strap on some high heels and Walk a Mile in Her Shoes!

The event on Tuesday September 23 at Sir Winston Churchill Square combines big hearts with big feet and brings the entire community together for a great cause.

The premise is simple; men walk a few blocks in women’s shoes, raising eyebrows, money and awareness of YWCA Violence Prevention Programs. Over the years we have had Edmonton Eskimos, Edmonton Oilers, the Mayor, City Councillors, Edmonton Rush, Edmonton Police and Firefighters plus all of our media men. We’d love to have you there!
