2018 Winnipeg Charter Flight Wait List

We are heading to Winnipeg on August 18th to take on the Rifles! We will be chartering a flight through North Cariboo Air so we can fly in and out on the same day, which means we have a few extra seats on the plane available for family and friends who want to come and watch the game. The cost is $200/person and this includes the flight to and from Winnipeg as well as transportation from the airport to the Forks where you can grab a bite to eat and do some shopping, then to the stadium and back. Game tickets need to be purchased at the gate. There are limited seats available, so purchase early to ensure a spot! We will be offering a refund up until August 16th for the full amount minus $20 (which is the service fee we pay). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Meghann at 780-919-8624 or admin@edmontonwildcats.com.  To register, just fill out the form below and you will be taken to the PayPal page to pay. Changes to Board of Directors

Effective May 1,2018 at our Annual General Meeting our 2018 Board of Directors was installed. Brad Gatschene has moved into the role of President of the Edmonton Wildcats Football Club. Brad Quartel has accepted the role of Vice President. Jason Dailey remains as Treasurer and Scott Kramble has accepted the role of Secretary.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank John Wojcicki who has been on the board since 2006 and served as President for 7 years. John announced in 2017 that it would be his last year as President, and the board unanimously moved Brad Gatschene from his Director-Corporate Relations role into Vice President to prepare him to transition into the President role for 2018.

John’s dedication to the team has been unwavering. Through the last several years, he has lead the team through high points and low points, and has been a voice of encouragement and stability through it all. He restructured the board, helping us to run more efficiently and professionally, which has set us up to continue to see stability, financial and otherwise. John represented the team at countless meetings, and we could always sit confidently knowing that the best interests of the Wildcats and of football in Edmonton were being represented. John’s passion for the team has shown in everything he has done, and we are thrilled he will be staying on the board in the capacity of Past President to continue to push us forward.

Thank you John, and congratulations to the 2018 Board of Directors!!

Wildcats Announce Partnership As A Nike Team

The Edmonton Wildcat Football Club is excited to announce our partnership with Skyline Athletics as a Nike Team!

Skyline Athletics/T. Litzen Sports is Nike’s exclusive team and fundamental dealer for all of Canada. This gives them  complete access to the
latest uniforms, spirit wear and accessories available throughout North America. The Wildcats have been given exclusivity as a Nike Team in our league in Edmonton.

Starting in 2018, the Wildcats will wear exclusively Nike Uniforms. Players on the current roster will be given a 10% team discount at retail locations, and a discount off all catalogue pricing of team sport footwear available through Nike Team T.Litzen/Skyline Athletics.

“This is a great opportunity for us as a team”, says President John Wojcicki. “We already have a great relationship with Skyline from our previous team orders, so partnering with them as a Nike Team is a natural next step. Nike is the largest sporting goods supplier in the world, so being the only Nike team in Edmonton is a very exciting step for us”

Head Coach Darcy Park adds in, “We are thrilled to be able to offer this to our players. This partnership is great for our team and great for Skyline, but it’s the players who will get the real benefit”

Academic Support Coach Addition

We are pleased to announce Ethan Park as our Academic Support Coach.  Ethan recently completed his Bachelor of Science degree and is beginning his postgraduate studies at the University of Alberta.  Ethan currently works for the University of Alberta Students’ Union.  His primary focus will be on providing support to our first year students as they make the transition to post secondary studies.

Head Coach Darcy Park states, “this is very exciting for me personally, and for our football club. Ethan has a long history with our club, and as an alumnus, he understands the struggles that first year students go through in the transition both on and off the field”.

Welcome (back) to the team Ethan!
